Splimo helps you keep score of shared expenses. It is a notebook, not a bank — it never holds or moves your money, and the balances it shows are informal records between you and your friends, not debts we verify or enforce.
By creating an account or using Splimo you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a contract under Indian law.
Splimo is an informal tool for recording and splitting shared expenses with friends and groups. It is bookkeeping convenience — not a bank, wallet, payment aggregator, payment system, credit provider or financial adviser, and it is not regulated as any of those.
Balances shown in Splimo are informal records between you and the people you share them with. They are not legally binding debt instruments, invoices or proof of a loan. We do not verify, guarantee, enforce or collect any amount, and we are not a party to disputes between users.
Keep your email account and password secure — actions taken from your account are treated as yours. Provide accurate information, keep only one account, and tell us promptly at support@splimo.app if you suspect unauthorised access. Changing your password signs out all other devices.
Use Splimo only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to commit fraud, launder money, harass others, send spam, scrape data, reverse engineer the app, probe or overload our infrastructure, or access data that is not yours. We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate accounts.
You own the content you enter — descriptions, group names, comments — and you are responsible for it. You grant us the limited licence needed to host that content and display it to the members of the groups and friendships it belongs to. Do not post content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes anyone's rights; we may remove such content.
When you add a friend — from your phone book or by typing their details — you confirm you have the right to share that person's name and number with us for expense tracking. Invitations and notifications to them are sent at your direction, not ours.
Splimo never holds or transfers money, and does not store UPI IDs or bank account details. You pay through a third-party payment app of your choice and record it in Splimo; the transaction is solely between you, that app and your bank, under their terms. We are not liable for failed, delayed, duplicated or misdirected payments. A settlement recorded in Splimo is a note in your ledger, not proof that money moved. Always verify the receiver and amount in your payment app before confirming.
Paid features, if offered, are billed through Google Play at the prices shown before purchase, renew automatically unless cancelled in the Play Store, and are refundable under Google Play's refund policy. We may change premium features with notice; core expense splitting stays free.
The free service may show third-party advertisements. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for them or for your dealings with advertisers.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aim to give notice of material changes in the app. We are not obliged to keep any particular feature available.
The Splimo app, brand, design and code are ours. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. All other rights are reserved.
Splimo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we do not warrant that balances or calculations are error-free, that data will never be lost, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Always verify amounts before paying anyone.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any amount you paid or failed to recover from another user. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that Indian consumer law grants you and cannot be waived.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your sharing of other people's contact details, or your misuse of the service.
You may delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature survive — content licence for shared ledgers, liability, indemnity, governing law — survive termination.
We may amend these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the amended terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-law venue available to you. Grievances: support@splimo.app — acknowledged within 72 hours, resolved within 30 days.
