Get split. Get settled.
Flatmates, trips, chai runs. Splimo keeps score on shared expenses and clears them in one tap once you have paid up — so nobody has to send that message.
Built by people who got tired of splitting bills on paper.
Watch it happen,
screen by screen.
Every feature below runs live in the phone beside it. Scroll and each one plays.
Two taps for the bill
you split every week
Amount first, everything else optional. Type what it was, pick who was there, and Splimo splits it equally unless you say otherwise. The chai run takes about four seconds.
Most expense apps die because logging is a chore. If adding a ₹40 chai costs more effort than remembering it, nobody logs it — and a ledger with gaps is worse than no ledger.
- Amount, description, people, split method — one screen
- Paid by anyone in the group, not just you
- Category, date, notes and a photo of the bill stay optional
Five ways to divide,
and it cannot go wrong
Equally, unequally, by shares, by percentage or by adjustment. Pick a tab and every member's figure recalculates live, with a running total underneath.
The awkward splits are the ones people argue about — someone arrived late, someone had the expensive dish. If the app can't express it, the group falls back to mental maths and someone loses out.
- Running total turns red when shares don't reach the bill
- Save locks until the numbers balance
- Tap a face to drop someone from the split
Pay how you already do,
then record it in one tap
When it's time to square up, pay your friend in whatever you both use — GPay, PhonePe, cash, a bank transfer. Then tap Record in Splimo and the balance clears for everyone. Splimo stores no UPI IDs and no bank details, ever.
Tracking a debt is easy; closing it is where apps give up. Balances sit open for months because nobody marks them done. One Record tap fixes that — and because Splimo never keeps payment details, there is nothing sensitive to leak.
- Cash, UPI, bank transfer or card — record whichever you used
- Splimo never holds your money and never stores payment details
- Everyone in the group sees it close
A trip, a flat,
a lunch club
Put related expenses in a group and the balance is always one number. Add people by name or phone number before they've installed anything, send them an invite link, and the balance waits for them.
Group trips generate dozens of expenses across a week. Without grouping, they scatter through your history and reconciling at the end becomes the thing nobody wants to do.
- Name it, pick who is in, done — about fifteen seconds
- Works with people who haven't joined yet — the invite link does the rest
- Debts simplified, so a whole trip settles in the fewest payments
- INR, USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AED, AUD and CAD, so foreign trips add up correctly
The same ₹2,480,
five different ways.
This is the real calculation, not a picture of one. Switch the method and watch every share move.
Nothing. Not a trial,
not a teaser.
No card, no account tier, no counter ticking down to a paywall. Everything Splimo does today, it does for free.
Split as much as you like,
with as many people as you like.
Splitting a bill is the whole point of Splimo, so it is not the thing to charge for. That part stays free — today and after any premium extras arrive.
Servers cost money, so two things may come later: an optional premium tier for extra features, and ads on the free tier. If either happens, splitting and settling stay free, and you will hear it from inside the app before anything changes. Until then, there is genuinely nothing to buy.
The ones people
actually ask.
Stop keeping score
in your head.
Sign in with email or Google and add your first expense in about ten seconds. No card, nothing to cancel later.

A small app for
an annoying problem.
Splimo is a small independent project. No investors, no growth targets, no data deals — which is exactly why it works the way it does.
Why it exists
Every trip ended the same way. Someone had a notes app full of amounts, someone else had screenshots, and one person always ended up quietly absorbing the difference because chasing ₹200 felt worse than losing it. The apps that solve this either put the useful parts behind a subscription, or stop just short of the moment that actually matters — getting the money back.
So Splimo does two things properly: it keeps an honest shared ledger, and it lets you close a balance the moment you have paid — without ever storing anyone's payment details. Everything else is in service of those two.
How it is built
Splimo is designed, built and maintained by a very small independent team — the app, the backend, the design and this website. There is no support department, no growth department, and no board asking why revenue is flat.
That has real consequences you should know about before you rely on it:
- Replies come from the people who build it. Usually within two days.
- The roadmap is small and honest. We ship what can be maintained properly, not what sounds impressive.
- Nothing gets sold to fund growth. There is no growth target that a data deal would serve.
How it stays alive
Servers cost money and we would rather explain the plan than surprise you with it. Splitting bills is free and will stay free. Two things may come on top:
- An optional premium tier for extra features, billed through the app store. Never required to split or settle a bill.
- Ads on the free tier, later. There are none today, and you will be told inside the app before that changes. Premium would remove them.
If that trade ever stops feeling fair, tell us. Splimo is small enough that it can actually be changed.
What Splimo will never do
- Sell your data, to anyone, at any price
- Build an advertising profile from what you spend
- Hold your money or touch your bank account
- Store your UPI ID or bank details
- Put splitting a bill behind a paywall

What is on your mind?
Pick a type so it reaches the right place, then say as much or as little as you like.
These come up a lot.
Permissions
Every permission is requested only at the moment it is needed, and the app works without any of them. Nothing tracks you across other apps.
Contacts
Asked when: you tap Pick from contacts while adding a friend.
Used for: choosing one person from your phone book. Only the contact you pick is saved.
If you decline: you can still add anyone by typing their name or phone number.
The picker runs on your device. Your full address book is never uploaded to a server.
Camera and photos
Asked when: you attach a photo of a bill or set a profile picture.
Used for: that image only.
If you decline: everything else in the app works normally.
Notifications
Asked when: you first turn them on.
Used for: telling you when an expense is added that involves you, when somebody settles up, or when
you are invited to a group.
If you decline: you will need to open the app to find out.
Face ID or fingerprint
Asked when: you turn on App lock in Account.
Used for: unlocking Splimo on your own phone. Nothing about your biometrics leaves the device.
If you decline: the app simply opens without a lock.
Network access
Always on. Needed to sync expenses between the people in a group.
What Splimo never asks for
- Location — not at any point, foreground or background
- Microphone
- SMS reading — expenses are never scraped from your messages
- Bank or UPI details — Splimo never asks for them and never stores them
- Background activity tracking across other apps
If you ever see Splimo request one of the above, something is wrong. Do not grant it, and write to support@splimo.app.
Changing your mind
Every permission can be revoked at any time in your phone’s system settings, and Splimo will keep working — it just loses the feature that needed it.
